Luise Light, MS, EdD.
Dr. Luise Light, former USDA Director of Dietary Guidance and Nutrition Education Research, was responsible for the original food guide pyramid and more recently, revamping USDA’s nutrition information. Hired as an expert to develop new nutrition and cancer prevention programs, she devised the National Cancer Institute’s first diet and cancer prevention guidelines, and directed national health promotion programs with supermarkets, the American Cancer Society, the Red Cross, schools, and State health departments. Dr. Light is also the author of the authoritative nutrition book, What to Eat; The Ten Things You Really Need to Know to Eat Well and Be Healthy, published by McGraw Hill. She has successfully raised two healthy and happy daughters.
Darren Fink, ND
Dr. Darren Fink has been teaching and lecturing for over 8 years in the arena of natural health. Dr. Fink graduated from the United States School of Naturopathy, culminating seven years of studying naturopathic medicine, nutrition, exercise science, and lifestyle management. His recent live radio appearances on the nationally syndicated Robert Scott Bell show, The Jay McLachlin Show, and The Winning Wednesday Show have stirred regional and national enthusiasm to the natural health message he promotes.
Lucy Marie Perezzo, M.D.
A graduate of SUNY, at Stoney Brook, and then The University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Perezzo served her internship and residency at NYU Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital, NY, NY, Department of Internal Medicine: Division of Primary Care. During this time, she trained with emphasis on psychosocial medicine, clinical epidemiology, health care policy (including lobbying at state and federal levels), geriatrics, women’s health, and home visits. During her residency, she also received clinical dependency training in a 50-hour course emphasizing outpatient diagnosis and treatment of substance abuse at The Hazelden House. She now specializes in Cancer Prevention.
For five years leading up to 2004, Dr. Perezzo practiced internal medicine for private and clinic patients with emphasis on disease prevention, women’s health, and cancer screening.
Dr. Cheryl Burdette
Dr. Cheryl K. Burdette, ND is a Naturopathic Doctor. After graduating from Bastyr in 2001, she completed her residency at Cancer Treatment Centers of America and the Family Health and Wellness Center, one of three hospital based residencies available for N.D.s in the country.
She spearheaded one of the only accredited Naturopathic residencies that is run off-site from a school, is a contributing author to “Laboratory Methods In Molecular Medicine,” and is considered a expert in functional nutritional testing. She is invited to speak at grand rounds at all Naturopathic medical schools in the US and Canada to share her expertise with graduating Naturopathic students.
Dr. Burdette’s practice is focused on the treatment of chronic conditions, and the use of hormones as a part of wellness. At Progressive Medical Center she works as part of a team based approach, combining her perspective with that of M.D.s, D.O.s, and dieticians to provide a synergistic treatment plan that addresses the individual in a complete and holistic manner.
Dr. Gez Agolli, MD, PhD
Dr. Agolli is the founder of Progressive Medical Center, in Atlanta, is a Board Certified Naturopath, certified by the American Naturopathic Medical Certification and Accreditation Board Inc. He is commissioned by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging, the American Academy of Pain Management and the Christian Medical & Dental Association.
He earned a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree (NMD) from the United States School of Naturopathy and Allied Sciences, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy(PhD) in Nutrition from First National University, USSN, and Allied Sciences. He has also obtained Healthcare Management Certification from the University of Miami, a Masters degree in Herbology and a Bachelors degree in Healthcare administration.
Dr. Agolli has achieved extensive experience and training in the areas of digestive disorders, natural hormone replacement, naturopathic detoxification, herbal therapies, tissue mineral analysis, functional medicine, homeopathy, sports nutrition, metabolic medicine, physical fitness, acupressure and electro medical technology. He honorably served four years in the US Air Force on the elite Combat Control Team.
Dr. Michael Gramazio, ND, PhD, NACFE
Dr. Gramazio is board certified in electro medicine by The American Academy of Forensic Examiners. He has lectured throughout the U.S., United Kingdom, Russia, and the Philippines to physicians and technicians on the science of applying electrotherapy for the relief of pain and disease. He holds a PhD in Electro Biology, a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the United States School of Naturopathy and Allied Sciences, and is a fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners.
Dr Gramazio is Board Certified by The American Academy of Forensic Examiners in Bioelectric Medicine and a Fellow of the Academy, The American Psychotherapy Association, in Psychotherapy, The American Naturopathic Medical Certification and Accredidation Board, as a Naturopathic Physician, The National Board of Naturopathic Medical Examiners, and The National Naturopathic Board of Examiners.
